Ms. Larrabee began her career as a corporate associate at Townley & Updike in New York, where she worked on a wide variety of transactional matters and acquired a broad base of general corporate experience. During her tenure there, she also developed an expertise in trademark and copyright law while servicing clients in the entertainment, sports and fashion industries.
In 1989, Ms. Larrabee became the Assistant General Counsel of Sanofi, Inc., a French-owned U.S. holding company, whose operations then included human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, beauty products and bio-ingredients. (Sanofi, Inc.'s operations have since become part of Sanofi Aventis, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies.) While at Sanofi, she worked closely with upper level management in overseeing the legal affairs of the company's U.S. operations and acquired extensive experience in structuring a wide range of complex commercial agreements.
Ms. Larrabee co-founded the predecessor firm to Lane Sash & Larrabee LLP in late 1995, where her practice has continued to encompass various aspects of corporate counselling and commercial agreements. She has continued to develop her intellectual property expertise at the firm, with an emphasis on clearing, registering and licensing trademarks for the firm's clients, particularly those in the apparel industry.
Ms. Larrabee is a former Associate Editor of the Fordham Law Review, a member of the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (AIPLA), and is active in many local community activities.
